Construction Underway!

North State Bank in West Raleigh
Construction is in the works for a new 31,000 square foot North State Bank facility at 2413 Blue Ridge Road, the site of the bank’s former West Raleigh office. Demolition took place shortly after a groundbreaking ceremony, which occurred in early January.

Pictured in the groundbreaking photo below, from left to right, are North State Bank Market President Casey Atwater, Relationship Banking Manager Gina Bunch, President/CEO Larry Barbour, and Chairman of the West Raleigh Advisory Board/Attorney with Monroe Wallace Morden & Sherrill, PA Robert “Bob” Monroe.

In addition to our participation, vendor/partners for the project included John A. Edwards & Company Consulting Engineers and J.D. Beam General Contractors. Completion is slated for Fall of 2023. We are proud to be a part of the North State team and the ongoing rejuvenation of the Blue Ridge corridor!

Downtown Cary’s Rogers Building
Site work is taking place in the redevelopment of The Rogers building, a 55,000 square foot mixed-use facility in the heart of Downtown Cary on Chatham Street between Rogers Alley and Walker Street. Planned to showcase high style via ground level retail and Class A office space, Chatham Street Commercial is developing the project as part of their ongoing commitment to the nourishment of Downtown Cary. The site is the former home to Rogers Restaurant, a landmark in the Cary community for a generation until owners Bill and Barbara Rogers retired and closed the restaurant in the early 1990s. A portion of the new building, on the corner of Rogers Alley, will pay homage to the existing footprint of Rogers Restaurant, with varied elements in the works to assist in articulating  the façade along Chatham Street. See the renderings below of what’s to come.

Village Gate in Holly Springs
Construction is well underway for the medical office buildings at Village Gate, located at the corner of Ralph Stephens Road and Main Street in Holly Springs. Scheduled for completion this summer, this project of approximately 12,000 square feet will support radiology and imaging as part of a multi-generational mixed-use development that will include a daycare, apartment and workforce housing, medical offices, and continuing care.

Construction Complete!

Urban Place in Downtown Cary
We’re pleased  to announce that Urban Place is complete! Located at the corner of E. Chatham Street and Urban Drive in Downtown Cary, Urban Place consists of 28 contemporary one and two bedroom apartments. We enjoyed our partnerships in this project with Ladd PropertiesMetrocon General Contractors, and John A. Edwards & Company.

Team News

Sohyun Kim
NCDG is delighted to have our former intern, Sohyun Kim, join our team as a Project Designer! As a 2021 graduate of NCSU with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design of Architecture, Sohyun is currently completing her Bachelor of Architecture degree at NCSU. She is a tremendous support to our team via her work in schematic design, renderings, and drawings. Born and raised in Korea by devoted entrepreneurial parents, Sohyun moved to the states with her family 10 years ago. She loves calling North Carolina home, and she enjoys planning trips and exploring new places.

Amelia Flick
We are pleased to welcome Amelia Flick to the NCDG team in the position of Marketing/Admin Assistant! A Raleigh native, Amelia graduated from Arizona State University in May of 2020 and worked with the Durham Bulls prior to joining us in late 2021. Her primary responsibilities include handling day-to-day office functions, customer relations, and the maintenance of social media platforms. As a huge hockey fan, Amelia’s favorite pastime is cheering on the Canes as a proud season ticket member!

Holiday Painting Day

The NCDG team enjoyed time together at our annual “painting day.” This year’s was a socially distanced holiday party, where our painting skills were honed while noshing on lunch and sharing laughs! Great weather allowed for outdoor dining and a few rounds of cornhole in the sun. As is now tradition, several last-minute holiday gifts were produced during the session.
